Auckland to Waitomo Caves Private Luxury Tours

Our Auckland to Waitomo Full Day Private Tours begin at a time suitable for you (we recommend about 7am) when we collect you in our air-conditioned luxury vehicle from your Auckland accommodation.

On the three hour drive south we follow the mighty Waikato River through the rich, rolling farmland of the Waikato region and the King Country. We pass through a string of small, historic river towns, including Ngaruawahia, site of the famous Turangawaewae Marae (traditional Maori meeting place) and seat of Aotearoa’s (New Zealand's) Maori King.

Waitomo is an amazing natural wonderland which offers a vast range of unique sights and experiences. As part of your Auckland to Waitomo Private Tour we can arrange tour options (additional cost) to cater for your particular preferences and abilities and to create your own special Waitomo experience. They include:

• Waitomo Caves Guided Tour, where you’ll see huge, natural underground chambers lit by glowworms.
• Ruakuri Cave Guided Tour, where you’ll explore one of Waitomo’s most spectacular caves, sudded with amazing formations of stalagmites and stalactites. 
• Black water rafting, where you’ll float, walk and swim along underground waterways on a big, inflated tube. This is for the more adventurous but is great fun!
• Otorohanga Kiwi House, where you’ll see the Kiwi, our national bird and emblem, as well as many other of our flora and fauna.

On our return trip to Auckland and depending on the time spent at Waitomo Caves, we can visit Hamilton Gardens. This is one of the North Island’s most picturesque public parks, with a vast range of beautiful indigenous and exotic flora.

We return you to your Auckland accommodation at 7pm (or another time depending on when we left in the morning).
